The V-Amp2 was Behringer’s budget answer to the famous Line6 POD. It has 15 cabs and 32 amps plus selectable effects combos, making it a cheap alternative to the more expensive POD. Despite having a somewhat gritty, brittle digital sound (to our ears), the V-Amp2 nevertheless found favour with such musicians as Per Nilsson of Scar Symmetry and Ben Sharp of Cloudkicker as a tone source, among others.

We captured each amp with fairly neutral tone across five gain settings each and also each cab separately, both in V1 and V2 captures for a total of 350 Neural Captures. We’ve even made the V1 cab captures publicly available from our Cortex Cloud account Surefyre!

You need a Cortex Cloud account and a Quad Cortex, Quad Cortex Mini or a Nano Cortex to use the captures.
